The Regional Maintenance Center at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility intends to award a stand-alone Firm-Fixed-Price contract for maintenance, repair, and preservation of the YRBM-50, a 153-ft by 43-ft steel vessel. The contractor’s facility must be capable of handling the vessel and must be located in the Puget Sound, WA region, defined as the west coast from Olympia, WA northward to Bellingham, WA. The scope includes docking, cleaning, inspections, fender and anode work, ultrasonic hull gauging, blast and paint preservation, non-skid application, tank/void cleaning and preservation, access/hatch/door repairs, potable water certification, CHT cleaning, deck and hull fendering repairs, and modifications such as hot water heater, awning, A/C, switchboard, 1MC/phone, and CCTV upgrades. The work also requires undocking, redline drawing verification, dock trials, and coordinated delivery of the vessel back to the Government. The vessel availability is scheduled from 31 March 2027 through 31 March 2028, and the procurement is a 100% Small Business set-aside under NAICS 336611 with a 1,300-employee size standard; SAM registration is required for award.
