The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR 15.101-2 lowest price technically acceptable source selection process. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) has been determined to be 532490 - Other Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing. This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in renting or leasing non-consumer-type machinery and equipment (except heavy construction, transportation, mining, and forestry machinery and equipment without operators; and office machinery and equipment). Establishments in this industry rent or lease products, such as manufacturing equipment; metalworking, telecommunications, motion picture, theatrical machinery and equipment, or service industry machinery; institutional (i.e., public building) furniture, such as furniture for schools, theaters, or buildings; or agricultural equipment without operators. with a large business size standard of $40,000,000.00. The Product Service Code for this acquisition is W061 Lease or Rental of Equipment- Electric Wire and Power Distribution Equipment. Puget Sound Naval Shipyard requires one (1), 1000 kW DG system capable of supplying electrical power per the requirements set forth in this Performance Work Statement (PWS). The Diesel Generator shall be capable of reliably supplying electrical power with electrical ratings of 460VAC, 3-phase, 60 Hz and minimum kilowatt (kW) power ratings of 1000kW. PSNS and IMF Contracting Office (Code 400) will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this request for quote. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at time of quote submittal in order to be eligible for award. All documents submitted will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed in the attached RFQ to Purchasing Agent, Patrick Scott by email at patrick.j.scott2@navy.mil and Contracting Officer, Jesse Schimke at jesse.e.schimke.civ@us.navy.mil. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements. Vendor shall complete the pricing structure, section of the request for quote in its entirety and return with any other documentation, attachments or data as required by this solicitation. Review and fill out all attachments as required.
