This action is the issuance of an out-of-scope contract change under contract N4523A24C0801 for blasting and preservation on an unusual and compelling urgency basis IAW FAR 6.302-2. The required bilateral modification with International Marine and Industrial Applicators (IMIA) 7884 Spanish Fort Blvd, Spanish Fort AL 36527-5342, will support critical and controlling path work on the submarine. The resulting action will incorporate the out-of-scope contract change and will lead to an extension of the period of performance through a forthcoming RCC. The submarine is currently undergoing critical lifecycle repairs in dry-dock at TRF Bangor, and this is required in order for the vessel to be returned to the fleet. Although the current planned period of performance for the contract is anticipated to be extended, the overall targeted Undocking key event milestone date will remain unchanged.
