Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Contracting Department intends to procure High Integrity Container for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF). This procurement will be solicited as Full and Open Competition utilizing FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures. It is anticipated that a commercial, Firm Fixed-price Supply Contract will be awarded. Solicitation N4523A23Q4066 will be posted to the sam.gov website on or about 8/4/2023 with the quotes due on or about 8/18/2023. Through its submission, the vendor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System Award Management (SAM) database prior to submitting their offer, during performance and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a vendor ineligible for award. Vendors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the Internet at https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by NAVSEA. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to http://www.sam.gov. The sources sought is being issued as a means of conducting market research to identify industrial capabilities that might exist in order to support an upcoming requirement for a High Integrity Container. For additional information regarding the technical specifications, please refer to the attached Statement of Work (SOW. The HIC is required for use inside a government-owned Allied Technology Group (ATG) 14-210H Type A cask for support of government work. The material required by this contract shall be manufactured and tested in accordance with this SOW.
