Description : The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) in supporting Naval Air Station North Island (NASNI), San Diego is issuing this sources sought. The sources sought is being issued as a means of conducting market research to identify industrial capabilities that might exist in order to support an upcoming requirement for an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to lease Forklifts, Zoom booms and Aerial Work Platforms. For additional information regarding the technical specifications, please refer to the attached, draft Performance Work Statement (PWS). Based on the responses to this sources sought, this requirement may be set-aside for small business (in full or in part) or procured full and open (unrestricted). The government’s intent at this time is for a single award, IDIQ contract. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephonic inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, the government will not be providing evaluations or comments to companies providing sources sought responses but the responses will be used to inform the government as to the best means of procuring this requirement. “THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. IT IS THE RESPONIBILITY OF POTENTIAL OFFERORS TO MONITOR THE GPE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THIS REQUIREMENT.” Project Background: In support of material handling operations, as well as supporting work that requires the use of Aerial Work Platforms, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Detachment San Diego (PSNS Det. S.D.) requires forklifts, Telescopic forklifts and Aerial Work Platforms (herein referred to as AWP) for the movement of materials and to perform work outside of inaccessible areas. Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) requires the rental of heavy equipment not normally available at Naval Air Station North Island (NASNI) for PSNS use. Scope: The vendor shall provide rental services of all the equipment listed in the attached draft PWS. Period of Performance: The period of performance for the IDIQ has an estimated start date of 1 March 2022 through 28 February 2027. Specific ordering dates and terms will be specified at the task order level.
