This sources sought is for market research to identify contractors willing to propose for a potential single award IDIQ contract tentatively scheduled for award in September 2022 for the preventative maintenance and unscheduled repair of material handling equipment (MHE), predominantly forklifts. The place of performance will be at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS), Bremerton, Washington. For additional information regarding the technical specifications, please refer to the attached performance work statement (PWS). Based on the responses to this sources sought, this requirement may be set-aside for small business (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition (unrestricted). All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephonic inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged. The government will not be providing evaluations or comments to companies providing sources sought responses. This sources sought is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for proposal (RFP) to be submitted. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the government. Responses in any form are not offers and the government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for the preparation of responses to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is strictly voluntary. Responses will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future solicitation. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the GPE for additional information pertaining to this requirement. PROJECT BACKGROUND PSNS&IMF owns a current MHE inventory of 38 forklifts of various makes, models and capacity ratings. In support of material handling operations, PSNS requires forklifts for the movement of materials throughout the shipyard. PSNS is interested in procuring services for preventive maintenance (PM), inspection, and unscheduled repair for the following types of MHE: gas, dual fuel, LPG, electric, and diesel forklifts up to and including 36,000lbs capacity. REQUIRED CAPABILITIES Additional detail is provided in the draft PWS attached to this announcement (Attachment 1). ELIGIBILITY The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 811310 with a small business size standard of $8M. The product service code is J039. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond.
