This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Any purchase order resulting from this RFQ will be made based on the evaluation criteria outlined below in FAR Provision 52.212-2 ( Evaluation--Commercial Items (Oct 2014)). Permits and Licenses: Unless otherwise specified in this contract, the contractor shall obtain any necessary licenses and permits, give all notices, and comply with any applicable Federal, State, County, and municipal laws, codes, and regulations in connection with this requirement. Offerors shall complete the line item pricing structure below in addition to any provided quote material in company format. The contract price includes all applicable Federal, state, and local taxes and duties. The sources sought is being issued as a means of conducting market research to identify industrial capabilities that might exist in order to support an upcoming requirement for the overhaul service to a Caterpillar 3508 Power Generation Diesel Engine. For additional information regarding the technical specifications, please refer to the attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS). Based on the responses to this sources sought, this requirement may be set-aside for small business (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition (unrestricted), the government intent at this time is for a single award. Required Capabilities: Contractor must be an Authorized CAT Repair Facility and have the ability to test the unit fully described in Part 5, Specific Tasks of the attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement. It is preferred that the service personnel is ASE certified diesel mechanic(s). (T2-diesel engines, 3408 experience preferable). Additional detail is provided in the draft PWS attached to this announcement (Attachment 1).
