This requirement has been determined to be achievable by only one source. The OEM is the only source with proprietary design drawings, specifications, components and expertise required to perform the necessary maintenance on the above referenced HPACs. Moreover, the OEM is the NAVSEA authorized provider for this system for aircraft carriers. Description: The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS&IMF) in support of a CVN 68 class aircraft carrier requires Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to provide services to repair/overhaul on-vessel HPACs. Again, it is the intent of the Government to sole-source this requirement.
