REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ): Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order N4523A21Q5732 Forge Equipment study DEADLINE FOR QUOTE SUBMISSION IS: 10:00 AM Pacific Standard Time (PST) Friday 22 October 2021 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12 and 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 541330, with a Business Size Standard of $16,500,000.00. This NAICS is for Engineering Services. The Product Service Code Class is B506. The purpose of this amendment is to re-solicit this requirement for a period of 30 days, IAW Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 215.371-(a)(2), in order to further promote competition. Period of Performance: Nine months after date of award: estimated date of award is 01 Nov 2021. Place of performance: Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF), Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard (PHNS), Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS), and Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNS). **NOTE: The badging and access requirements for all locations other than PSNS & IMF will be provided after award. The sources sought is being issued as a means of conducting market research to identify industrial capabilities that might exist in order to support an upcoming requirement for the operational evaluation of naval shipyard forge and heat-treat equipment in preparation for the relocation of the forge and heat-treat shop at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA. Based on the responses to this sources sought, this requirement may be set-aside for small business (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition (unrestricted), the government intent at this time is for a single award. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein.
