The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform the modifications as defined in this PWS except for those items specified as government furnished property and services. The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract. A 52” Cut Off Saw requires modification. Currently the saw blade is oversized at 52” and does not have a control for the blade feed-speed. By being oversized, the noise is greater than it should be and the performance of the cut is less than desired. With the lack of automated control over the feed-speed, the operator is forced to turn off the machine, walk to the hydraulic valve, and physically manipulate the valve with a wrench in order to change the speed settings. The objective of this saw modification is to downsize the 52” saw blade and arm to 46”, install a new hydraulic control system for the feed-speed, and remove obsolete components, final alignment, and inspection. 52” Pendu Cut Off Saw modifications, testing, packaging, shipping, parts and installation services, and alignment services. Services include all labor, travel, expenses, parts, supplies, filters, greases, tools, equipment, gauges, instrumentation, and safety equipment needed to perform the required work.
