Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, 1400 Farragut Avenue intends to solicit for a multiple award, firm fixed-price supply type contract for Uncovered Tungsten Shielding’s in support of PSNS Code 2310 NEPD Reactor Engineering Division. This requirement is for fabrication of uncovered tungsten shielding from certified detrimental commercial materials and specifications per PSNS Code 2310 NEPD Reactor Engineering Division DWG 2301-3914 Rev-A. 12” x 36” tungsten polymer sheets rated to 450oF, Part Number LE-450-PSNS17-FE1. This specialty tungsten shielding meets the high temperature and space constraint that are required for a specific piping run on board ships to minimize personnel exposure in accordance with NAVSEA 389-0288.The primary purpose of this procurement action is to issue a Multiple Award Contract (MAC) for Manufacturers (Vendors) to fabricate and establish a Qualified Manufacturer List (QML) for the Uncovered Tungsten Shielding. This requirement is intended to be negotiated on an unrestricted basis as a Commercial item procurement in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13 resulting in a multiple award of a Firm-Fixed Price, Supply type contract with fob destination to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility.
