THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. A DETERMINATION NOT TO COMPETE THE PROPOSED PROCUREMENT BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT. The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS) Contracting Office (Code 440), hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole-source, firm fixed contract, base year plus four option years to Amada 7025 Firestone Boulevard, Buena Park, CA 90621. The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR 6.302-1. A Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared. The period of performance shall be a base year beginning 09/02/19 through 09/01/20 with consecutive option years following. Option 1 -09/02/20 through 09/01/21 Option 2 -09/02/21 through 09/01/22 Option 3 -09/02/22 through 09/01/23 Option 4 -09/02/23 through 09/01/24 The contract will provide for Amada, the OEM, who has proprietary information necessary to repair and maintain the equipment and provide software updates as needed. NAICS code: 811490-- Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance (SBA Size Standard $7.5 Million) THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, interested parties may identify their interest, a quote, and capabilities to respond to this requirement no later than August 5, 2018 3 PM, PST. Questions must be submitted no later than August 1, 2018 12 PM, PST. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS) Contracting Office (Code 440) will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this notice of intent, the Government shall determine if a solicitation will be issued. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. All documents submitted will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed above to Contract Officer, Daniel Ellis via Purchasing Agent, Angela Charpia by email at angela.charpia@navy.mil. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements.
