The Government intends to award a sole-source contract to Tidewater Community College to provide accredited academic training, testing, and certification for an Apprentice Program. The program is designed to develop apprentices' knowledge and skills through classroom instruction and on-the-job learning, culminating in a Trade Technician Career Studies Certificate. Upon completion, apprentices will be certified as journeyman-level workers by both the Department of the Navy and the Department of Labor.

This is a sole-source contract intended for Tidewater Community College to provide accredited academic training and certification for a Navy Apprentice Program. The program combines classroom instruction from the college with on-the-job government training to prepare apprentices as journeyman workers. Upon completion, apprentices will receive a Trade Technician Career Studies Certificate and be certified by both the Department of Navy and the Department of Labor. The work is to support the NNSY Code 900T (C900T), Production Training Division.
