PRE-SOLICITATION SYNOPSIS Disposal of C060 Gamma Radiography DISCLAIMER: This pre-solicitation synopsis is issued for the purposes of initiating dialogue with industry partners regarding the upcoming Brighter Sodium Beacon acquisition. This synopsis is NOT considered a solicitation; therefore, proposals, quotations and/or bids are neither requested nor desired at this time. However, the Government is interested in receiving feedback from industry partners regarding this pending acquisition. Any costs associated with responding to this synopsis will be solely the respondent's expense and will not reimbursed by the Government. All proprietary information provided within a response shall be properly marked. DO NOT submit any classified materials. DATE: 03/29/2023 CLOSING DATE: 3/30/2023 PSC: F108 PROPOSED SOLICITATION #: N4215823QN036 FEDERAL AGENCY: Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) Service Contracting Department, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000 PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: TBD - 60 mile radius of NNSY SET-ASIDE STATUS: This requirement is intended be solicited as Sole source basis. As the OEM has the ability to dispose of Co60 Gamma Radiography accordance with federal regulation, transportation, and shipping procedures comply with Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations. under NAICS Code 562211. DESCRIPTION: Insert description of requirement from SOW/PWS. Please see attached Draft Statement of Work / Performance Work Statement for additional information. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The solicitation and all amendments issued will be in electronic form. THE SOLICIATION IS NOT YET AVAILABLE however, it is expected to be available on or about March 30th, 2023. Once available, the solicitation will be posted to the GPE: https://www.sam.gov under the proposed solicitation number. Potential vendors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available by downloading the documents at the above website. After solicitation is issues, all responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the Government. By submitting a quotation, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the principal corporate officials nor owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the quotation. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to conduct verbal or written discussions with respect to other than price with the vendors at any time prior to award. By submission of a quotation, the vendor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at the time the quote was submitted, prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from the solicitation. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a vendor ineligible for award. Vendors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by visiting https://www.sam.gov.
