The pressure gages requested are direct replacements for existing Norfolk Naval Shipyard equipment, and is to be sole sourced to Ashcroft Heise, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Replacement with similar but non-standard (different brand) equipment present the potential for inconsistency in the application, operation, and training which increases the likelihood of adverse impact to the command.
