The Services Contract Division, C411, Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY), Portsmouth, VA intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed-Price contract on the following item: (2) Heater Element and Control Panels, for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA 23709. (See attached solicitation for Line Item Description). The NAICS Code is 333414 and the Small Business Standard is 500 employees. The proposed contract to be solicited as UNRESTRICTED. The Heating Elements are direct replacements for existing shipyard equipment, and Infinity Thermal is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The parts requested are “one for one” replacements and must be procured from the OEM in order for the equipment to operate to shipyard standards. This requested brand name is already in widespread use by NNSY. Replacement with similar but non-standard (different brand) equipment will cause inconsistency in the application, operation and training which will have an adverse impact to the command. This requirement is SOLE SOURCED to Infinity Thermal. No other manufacturers will be considered.
