Contractor support of rental of the following equipment: Two (2) 800 CFM Grade D Air Compressors, and two (2) 930 cfm minimum Regenerative Air Dryer Units; service rental from vendor to provide two (2) 930 cfm minimum Regenerative Air Dryer Units. This Grade D Air Compressor and Regenerative Air Drier are NAVSEA mandated equipment used for steam plant idle layup. Norfolk Naval Shipyard leases this equipment for temporary services in lieu of purchase due to the lack of maintenance capability. Norfolk Naval Shipyard does not have trained personnel or the resources (parts/drawings) with equipment expertise to effectively maintain this equipment. At the current mandatory rate of $350.00, it is not cost effective for Norfolk Naval Shipyard to tool up for equipment storage and maintenance. The estimated period of performance for this requirement is date of award to 06/14/2024.
