THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought for information, planning purposes, and aids in our Market Research. Norfolk Naval Shipyard’s (NNSY) intent of this announcement is to identify qualified and experienced sources for a contract vehicle that will provide services as defined in the attached Performance Work Statement. This announcement constitutes a sources sought for written information only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and a contract will not be awarded from of this announcement. This announcement is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. NNSY is especially interested in determining small business capability and interest. The Government is seeking responses from sources that can perform hazardous waste incineration services anticipated to begin in March 2022. The Government has provided an outline of some of the work anticipated to be completed as an enclosure to this sources sought document (see Enclosure (1)). The anticipated contract type will be firm-fixed price. What/Where to Submit: Interested companies should submit, on company letterhead, a notice of interest including the name, telephone number, mailing address, and e-mail address of one point of contact. Please scan your letter of interest and email it to the Contract Specialist, Kennetta Boone, at kennetta.boone@navy.mil and Supervisory Contract Specialist, Denise Lee at denise.l.lee@navy.mil with “Hazardous Waste Incineration Services Sources Sought Response” in the subject field. The notice of interest should include a brief description of your company and its capabilities as they relate to the requirements set forth in Enclosure (1), and answers to the following specific questions. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Submissions are not to exceed ten (10) typewritten pages in no less than 12 font size, Times New Roman font. Size of business under NAICS Code 562211 (size standard $41,500,000) Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, Woman-owned and/or Service Disabled Veteran-owned. What is your company’s CAGE Code? Does your company have a website? If so, what is your company’s website address? Does your company have a satisfactory performance record for the type of work required? Please provide examples of relevant and recent (within three years) past performance, whether your company was the prime contractor or subcontractor, and include approximate dollar value. Does your company have the necessary organization, experience, accounting and operational controls, and technical skills, or the ability to obtain them (including, as appropriate, such elements as production control procedures, property control systems, quality assurance measures, and safety programs applicable to materials to be produced or services to be performed by the prospective contractor and subcontractors)? Briefly describe how your company would be capable of meeting the requirements as of contract award. Given the work described in this announcement & Enclosure (1), does your company plan to submit a proposal in response to the anticipated solicitation for the Hazardous Waste Incineration Services?
