Revises FAR clauses and removes unnecessary FAR clauses. 8/26/2022 - Amendment 0001 is issued to reflect the current changes: Revised the Period of Performance (POP) dates to 10/1-15/2022 Extended the questions deadline to 8/29/2022 at 4pm Eastern Time Extended the solicitation deadline to 9/2/2022 at 4pm Eastern Time Removed the POP dates from the Statement of Work to the Delivery Information Section Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) service contract for a contractor to provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to accomplish a Static Bitt test for the # 3 Warping Capstan onboard a US Naval vessel. The purpose of the test is to prove satisfactory operation of the Warping Capstan after authorized repairs are accomplished by NNSY. This is a commercial service per FAR Part 12. This procurement is using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. NNSY is the contracting activity and will be overseeing the test, however the work will be performed at Norfolk Naval Base.
