This solicitation is for the rental of one (1) Grade D Air Compressor and one (1) Regenerative Air Dryer. Important 52.212-2 EVALUATION--COMMERCIAL ITEMS (OCT 2014) (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: (i) Price; (ii) Technical Capabilities Certification Chart (See SOW). (b) Options. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s). Note: Evaluation of price will consider the total prices for all contract periods (base plus all options, including the possible six-month extension option noted in FAR 52.217-8), with each periods price evaluated as the sum of the prices of all contract line items (CLINs) for that period. Each CLIN price will be evaluated as the quantity multiplied by the unit price. The FAR 52.217-8 potential six-month extension will be evaluated at the pricing of the final option period. Providing separate pricing for the FAR 52.217-8 optional six-month extension period is not required. (This evaluation will not obligate the Government to exercise any option under FAR 52.217-8. However, the prices for any option, if exercised, under FAR 52.217-8 will be at the same rate(s) as those in effect during the period exercised under the contract.)
