There is no solicitation available at this time. The synopsis is issued for the sole purpose of conducting Market Research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. This effort is to seek out qualified sources (large or small) capable of providing services for recycling heavy metal bearing equipment (HMBE), elemental lead scrap, ferrous and non-ferrous metals that may contain Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) constituents and metal components with coatings containing polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and processing of these types of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) recyclable materials. The term “recyclable material” will generically apply to these recycling streams defined in Title 40 Code of Federal Regulations Part 261.6.a(3)(ii) (40 CFR 261.6.a(3)(ii)). The intent is to issue a single award Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity for a base award and four one-year options for the required services. Small or large companies that have experience with this type of services are encouraged to respond to this notice by 28 September 2023. The submission of information is for planning purposes only, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure any items or services. The information will not be returned, and no compensation will be provided from any response to this announcement. Proprietary information submitted will be protected, when so designated.
