SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: Posting Number: Notice Type: N42158-22-RC-20070 Sources Sought Synopsis: 1. NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. 1.1 The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive, and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 531120 Conference center, no promotion of events, rental or leasing, which has a corresponding Size Standard of $30M, and Product or Service Code, (PSC) of X1AB Lease/rental Of Conference Space and Facilities. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide a capabilities statement, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. 2. Program Details: Background: Norfolk Naval Shipyard’s Welding Engineering and NDT Examiner Division (Code 138) was selected by NAVSEA to host the 2022 NAVSEA NDT Working Group meeting. Requirement: *Lodging is not included as part of this requirement. Location: The preferred location of the event would be in the Downtown Norfolk or Greenbrier area of Chesapeake to ensure close proximity to Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Other areas would be acceptable provided they are approximately 10 miles or closer to Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Dates: The preferred dates of the event are 5/24, 5/25, and 5/26. Other dates within that timeframe (+/- 1 week) are acceptable provided they are Tuesday through Thursday to ensure government travel days are Monday and Friday. Rooms: The hotel shall have guest rooms available at the government per diem rate. Parking: Participants (or their activity) will be responsible for all cost incurred for parking during the event and should not be included in the event cost. Event Space: The general session meeting space for the event shall accommodate up to 125 participants for all 3 days of the event. (4) Additional small breakout rooms capable of accommodating up to 25 participants are required for all 3 days of the event. Audio-Visual Services: Each meeting space (including breakout rooms) shall be equipped with Visual capability to provide basic PowerPoint presentations (ex. Meeting room projector package with screen). Audio shall be provided for the general session meeting space for presentations. Beverage: The hotel shall provide water and coffee refreshments for participants during the event. Market Survey: Please describe your company’s ability to host the conference and attendees. Please state your business size (small or large) based upon the size standard above.
