Request for Proposal, Rental of Material Handling Equipment for Norfolk Naval Shipyard: The Contracting Department, Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY), Portsmouth, VA intends to award a Multiple Award contract (MAC), Indefinite Quantity, Indefinite Delivery (IDIQ) with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) provisions for the rental of Material Handling Equipment in support of NNSY operations. Norfolk Naval Shipyard requires a Contractor(s) to provide the MHE supplies and incidental maintenance and support services at NNSY and NNSY annexes, as well as Naval Station Norfolk. This requirement was previously synopsized on SAM.gov on June 16, 2021 under notice titled "Synopsis - Rental of Material Handling Equipment for Norfolk Naval Shipyard." By submission of a proposal, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the SAM database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
