Amendment 001 is hereby issued to provide the following Q&A: Q1: Are you replacing an existing pump? If so, can you provide a picture of the nameplate or at very least all the information (model number/serial number) from the nameplate? This will give me all the information I need to provide a like for like replacement. If this is for a new application could you please provide some design points (flow rate, discharge pressure, temperatures) so I can size the pump? A1: I was not able to find out if we are replacing an existing pump. However, attached is "Amend. 001 Fuel Service Pump Nameplate" information you requested and below is the serial number description: Serial Number: 124124-001 Type: L3NG-060796 ASOKII-G All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Military Sealift Command (MSC) Ship Support San Diego intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Purchase Order to Leistritz Advanced Technologies or OEM authorized-distributors. The proposed contract action, for which the Government intends to solicit under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), is for Fuel Pump in support of USNS WASHINGTON CHAMBERS (T-AKE 11). See attached Combined Synopsis Solicitation for details. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Respondents must provide level of effort and dollar estimates to acquire a full understanding of the design of the equipment. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A written response must include evidence of the respondents’ ability to support the described equipment. Interested parties with the capability of meeting the proposed requirements are requested to provide an e-mail to the MSC Point of Contact: Rebecca Shults at rebecca.c.shults.civ@us.navy.mil no later than 25 May, 2022 at 1:00 pm Pacific Time expressing interest and outlining their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
