The purpose of this order is to procure Watertight Doors (WTD) for the T-AO Class of MSC ships. Salient characteristics and required certifications are as follows: WTDs shall conform to NAVSEA Drawing... The purpose of this order is to procure Watertight Doors (WTD) for the T-AO Class of MSC ships. Salient characteristics and required certifications are as follows: WTDs shall conform to NAVSEA Drawing 167-6580088, “Structural Door List.” Attached Drawing details features such as Door Number, Door Location, Swing, Individually Dogged or Quick Acting Water Tight (QAWT), Door Dimensions, Rough Door Opening, Closure, USCG Fire Class Rating, Window opening size if applicable and Door Material Composition, etc. Each door shall be manufactured and outfitted with a frame, flange dogs, dog cheater bar both sides, dog cheater bar storage tabs, lever handles, Hasp & Staples, Door hold backs, gasket material and hinges already assembled. Note: The purpose of this is to have the Shipyard take the fully assembled door and frame and install the entire WTD on the bulkhead. Requirements for Approval United States Coast Guard (USCG): USCG WTD’s are going to be installed on a US Vessel regulated by USCG. Doors must conform to current 46 CFR United State Coast Guard (USCG) rules and regulations including but not limited to the following: fire rating, flammability, burn rate, combustion byproducts and Toxicity level for used its intended use aboard sea going vessels for International Voyages. A copy of USCG approval letter for type of Doors shall be provided with bid. NOTE: Sales Literature bearing a USCG Logo with the Phrase “USCG Approved” is not acceptable. A copy of an approval letter on USCG Letterhead bearing a type approval shall be submitted with bid.
