N4008527R0039 Design-Bid-Build (DBB) P-200, Aircraft Maintenance Hangar, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina
NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic issued a sources sought notice—not an RFP—seeking eligible small businesses for design-bid-build construction of the P-200 Aircraft Maintenance Hangar and supporting facilities for two F-35B squadrons at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina. Work includes a two-squadron maintenance hangar, aircraft parking apron, CNATT training facility, GSE storage, flammable storage, four Ready Service Magazines, demolition of existing buildings, and extensive site and utility upgrades. The estimated construction magnitude is $100,000,000 to $250,000,000 under NAICS 236220 with a $45,000,000 small-business size standard, and SDVOSB, VOSB, HUBZone, 8(a), WOSB, and other small businesses are encouraged to respond. Interested firms must document 2–5 relevant projects completed within the past 15 years, each with a final construction cost of at least $35,000,000 and involving new construction or addition/expansion of an aircraft maintenance hangar, with at least one demonstrating a column-free clear span of at least 200 ft. The Government will use responses to determine whether a small-business set-aside is appropriate; large-business submittals will not be considered.
