Combined Synopsis/Solicitation N4008522Q2533 This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR subpart 5.1 and 5.2, FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures found at FAR 13, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) -The proposed contract action is for a brand name item. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(6), the required justification or documentation is attached. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on https://Sam.Gov/. The solicitation number is N4008522Q2533 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This is the only RFQ for this requirement, it includes all the terms, and conditions as well as applicable FAR and DFARS clauses and provisions with respect to the anticipated purchase order. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2022-06, effective May 26, 2022. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The NAICS code is 335999 and the Small Business Standard is 500 employees. This requirement is being procured as an Unrestricted. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a Sole Source basis to Hale Trailer Brake and Wheel, Rt 73 Cooper Rd., Voorhees, NJ 08043 USA, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Responsible parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, or submit a quote by the date and time specified. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all bids, proposals, or quotations received by the closing response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic is in need of a contractor to make repairs to the hood assembly of Navy owned roll-off dumpster trucks resulting from an accident with a civilian contractor. The brake system parts are not in production anymore and newer brake systems manufactured by Hale are recommended as a replacement. The brakes on these trailers will have to be retrofitted as the parts currently on it are made by NLA. The newer brake systems would need to be modified to fit these older trailers in order to be compliant with current DOT laws in order to be operated on the highway. The truck shall be returned to OEM condition and delivered to NAVFAC PWD Mechanicsburg once repairs are completed. Location: Publice Works Department, Mechanicsburg, PA.
