THIS SYNOPSIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY; IT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to assess the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition, and does not restrict the Government from a particular approach. The Government will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, PWD Great Lakes is seeking eligible small business firms capable of cleaning all duct work in seven (7) buildings at Naval Station, Great Lakes, IL. The work includes furnishing all labor, transportation, supervision, material, equipment and performing all operations in connection with cleaning all of the bedroom ductwork in Buildings B830, B831, B832, B835, B836, B838, and B839, to include cleaning supply air ducts, exhaust air ducts, and air distribution devices located in the bedrooms. Clean all interior surfaces of the entire ductwork in each bedroom including the supply air ducts from the fan coil unit to the points where air is discharged, exhaust air ducts from the air inlet to the riser, and all air distribution devices (registers, grilles, and diffusers). See attached Draft Scope of Work Summary for more details. Qualification Requirements of the Duct Cleaning Contractor: The duct cleaning contractor shall be a member of the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA). Firm’s NADCA registration number and expiration date of current certification must be provided on the attached Questionnaire. The work shall be completed and ready for use not later than 120 calendar days after the date the contract is awarded. All SMALL BUSINESSES interested in and capable of performing this work are encouraged to respond to this Sources Sought. The NAICS Code applicable to the work under this potential contract will be 561790 – Other Services to Buildings and Dwellings. In order to be included in the market research results, OFFERORS MUST BE REGISTERED UNDER THIS NAICS IN SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM), AND SAM MUST ACCURATELY DISPLAY YOUR SIZE AND OTHER INFORMATION. If a Joint Venture (JV), your SAM records must reflect that your JV is active.
