The intent of this notice is to conduct market research and identify potential contractors that are capable of performing the work in Japan and interested in the Department of Navy’s requirement for Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping Services at US Marine Corps Camp Butler Installations, Northern and Southern Okinawa, Japan. The information will be used within the NAVFAC Far East Contracting Division and will not be disclosed outside the agency. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. Naval Facilities Engineering Command Far East (NAVFAC FE) FEAD Camp Butler is seeking qualified contractors and subcontractors that are licensed to conduct business in Japan for Facilities Support Contracts, specifically Grounds Maintenance Services. SERVICES DESCRIPTION: The proposed grounds maintenance and landscaping services will require the contractor to furnish all labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, facilities, transportation, incidental engineering, and other items necessary to provide the grounds maintenance services at the various locations of the U.S. Marine Corp Base Camp Butler, Okinawa, Japan Locations: The following is an example of the dispersion of work at the various locations. Northern Camps: Camp Schwab, Henoko Station, Camp Courtney, Camp Hansen, Camp Gonsalves/ Northern Training Area (NTA), Camp McTureous, Ammunitions Supply Point (ASP) #2, Central Training Area (CTA) and Taiyo Roads and Parking Areas. Southern Camps: Camp Kinser, MCAS Futenma, Camp Foster, Camp Lester and Plaza Housing Area and Fort Buckner. Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price/IDIQ Services contract. Anticipated period of performance is a base period up to 12 months with a total of seven (7) option years (12 month each) for an overall possible eight (8)-year of performance. This notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Government to issue a Solicitation or award a contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses. Entities responding to this Sources Sought Notice should submit the minimum information necessary for the Government to make a determination that adequate business entities exist that are capable of satisfying the Government’s requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561730 -- Landscaping Services. It is requested that interested firms capable of providing the requested services submit a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 10 pages, including attachments if any) demonstrating your ability to perform the requested services. The documentation shall address, at a minimum, the following: COMPANY PROFILE to include all of the following: (1) Company name and address; (2) Company point of contact (including title, telephone and fax numbers and email address); and (3) If your company is registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) website, please indicate your Unique Entity ID Number and CAGE code. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: Indicate your experience in providing services for the requirement stated above. SUBCONTRACTORS: If known, provide established subcontractor arrangements or partnerships with other companies (Optional). LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: Indicate any applicable local and/or industry certification your company or employee possess relevant to this procurement. MISC INFO: Provide anything pertinent to this industry and/or type of work, in general, that the Government should consider. Interested firms may submit information using the form provided under separate file titled “Sources Sought – Contractor Information Form” (attachment 1) to demonstrate capabilities, capacity and experience. Note: Prior to contract award, all prospective offerors interested in obtaining a contract award with the Government must be registered in the Federal Government's System for Award Management (SAM) database.
