GENERAL INFORMATION This is a Sources Sought announcement for the purposes of MARKET RESEARCH ONLY. The information received will be utilized within the Navy to facilitate the decision making process and will not be disclosed outside of the agency. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES Naval Facilities Engineering Command Far East (NAVFAC FE) Public Works Department (PWD) Yokosuka Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division (FEAD) is seeking information on eligible business firms capable of providing the services described herein. The proposed requirement is for recurring and non-recurring maintenance services for mobile cranes and portal cranes at U.S. Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), Japan. Specifically: The recurring portion consists of annual inspection services of mobile cranes for bearing slew tightness The non-recurring portion may consist of miscellaneous repair or maintenance tasks as they arise/as required throughout the contract performance period (for example: replacement of main and luffing hoist wire rope for portal (land) cranes, or unexpected replacement or repair, maintenance, and upgrade of various cranes) The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code selected for this procurement is 811310 -- Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance. The anticipated contract is a Firm-Fixed Price, Single Award, Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contract. SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS The Government invites contractors with the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements to submit a Sources Sought Contractor Information Form. The Sources Sought Contractor Information Form is not expected to be a proposal but rather short statements regarding the company’s ability to demonstrate existing (or developed) expertise and experience related to the services described. Submission of a Sources Sought Contractor Information Form is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Government in tailoring requirements to be consistent with industry capabilities. Any commercial brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with the Sources Sought Contractor Information Form.
