Ultr... 1. Scope of Work: a. Conduct Ultrasonic Testing for the Land crane (LC43) rails at DD6 by the end of July-2021. Perform the rail test by ultrasonic methods in accordance with NAVFACINST 11230.1F. Ultrasonic testing shall be done by a Contractor. UT (Ultrasonic Testing) shall be performed by Level 2 qualification of JSNDI (Japan Society for Non-destructive Inspection). Submit results of the ultrasonic rail testing. Results shall list defects and rail stationing. b. Testing Materials and Instruments The contractor shall provide testing materials and instruments required for all testing and inspections, excluding crane test weight and rigging gear. The crane test weight and rigging gear required for Final Load Test will be prepared by the Government (SRF C700). This project is intended for local sources in accordance with FAR 5.202(a)(12). Local sources are those persons or entities normally resident and licensed to conduct business in Japan. Offers from non-local sources will not be considered under this solicitation in accordance with the provisions of the U.S. - Japan Status of Forces Agreement. c. Contractor Inspection Reports The Contractor shall submit inspection reports within 7 calendar days after completion of inspection/testing. d.
