This is a synopsis of pre-solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The NAICS code is 3 811198, All Other Automotive Repair and Maintenance Naval Facilities Engineering Command Far East Yokosuka, Japan intends to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) on a competitive basis for a five (5) year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for the procurement of Preventive Maintenance and Repair Services for U.S. Fire Apparatus and Trucks at Navy Region, Japan. The resulting contract will have one (1) Base Period and four (4) one-year Option Periods comprised of recurring and non-recurring services. Please see the attached draft “Statement of Work” for more details. This requirement will be solicited on a full and open competitive basis with award being made to the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable offeror. Interested offerors can view and/or download the solicitation from Contract Opportunities on https://beta.sam.gov when it becomes available. Unless otherwise indicated in the solicitation, this is an Internet-only solicitation. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be provided. It is the offeror’s responsibility to check the websites daily for any amendments to this solicitation. All interested offerors shall register at the website https://beta.sam.gov. Offerors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to receive a Government contract award. To register, the SAM Internet address is: https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Offerors must have an active registration in SAM and must have active Representations and Certifications in SAM. Interested offerors are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
