The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items or services necessary for scrap metal and other waste removal operations from the U.S. Navy Support Facility Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory in accordance with the performance work statement herewith. Due to COVID-19, a pre-solicitation conference and site visit will not be scheduled. Inquiries regarding the solicitation shall be submitted more than 14 days prior to bid opening date. Access to Diego Garcia: There are no commercial flights to Diego Garcia. Flight schedules are not reliable and always subject to frequent changes. All persons seeking entry to the island for a short official or employment under the contract are required to obtain an area clearance from the Facilities Engineering and Acquistion Division Diego Garcia.
