The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, material, and equipment required to implement recurring services to clean inside of the wastewater facility and pump up all accumulated oil, grease and any other foreign matter. Additionally, The Contractor shall dispose of the waste in accordance with Japanese law and act and applicable regulations. *****IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING LICENSES***** The Contractor shall possess valid licenses of Industrial waste issued by the local, prefectural or national Japanese governing authority for collection, transportation and disposal of Industrial Waste, Waste Sludge, Waste Oil, Waste Acid, and Waste Alkali. (1) Collection/Transportation Industrial Waste License: Issued by Kanagawa and Shizuoka Prefecture. (2) Disposal Industrial Waste License: Issued by applicable governing authority or agency for final disposal or intermediate processing license. NOTE: Both licenses mentioned in (1) and (2) must be under the prime contractor’s name. If the licenses are from two separate companies but will be providing work as a joint venture (JV), then both licenses must be under the JV’s name. In accordance with Japan Environmental Governing Standards (JEGS) 15.2.8, it is prohibited for the licensed transporter (license (1)) to then subcontract with a licensed disposal facility (license (2)).
