The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Naval Research & Development Establishment Support Office (NRDE), has a NEW requirement to procure construction services for electrical projects for the Public Works Departments supporting the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington, DC, the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory Chesapeake Bay Detachment, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock in West Bethesda, Maryland. This Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) will provide support to procure construction, repairs, and renovations of common electrical features of work including general electrical materials and methods, panel boards, circuit breakers, feeders and branch circuits, transformers, testing and inspections, interior distribution, metering, marina electrical work, lightning protection systems, and interior/exterior lighting. The period of performance will consist of a 1-year Base period, and four 1-year Option periods. This will be a firm fixed price contract with a total estimated value of $20,000,000; inclusive of all Options. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for the IDIQ is 238210- Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors with a size standard of $16.5 million. Based on Market Research, this procurement will be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The solicitation is estimated to be posted around late August 2021.
