The Government will not pay for any effort expended, or any materials provided in response to this announcement, nor will the Government return any data provided. The purpose of this Pre-Solicitation synopsis is to seek out interested business capable of fulfilling this requirement. All responses to this Pre-Solicitation are STRICTLY voluntary. The Southeast Regional Maintenance Center intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit sources capable of performing the repair and replacement of Interior Decks for Naval vessels home ported or visiting the Jacksonville, FL area. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 336611 – Ship Building and Repair, with a small business size of 1,300 employees. As a result of market research, this requirement will be solicited as a 100% Set-Aside for small businesses. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed priced single award indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for a base period of one (1) year and four (4) option year periods for the performance of this requirement. Interested parties must have experience repairing and/or replacing carpet, ceramic tile, electric grade matting, broadcast quartz, wear resistant decking, cometic polymeric decking, as well as various types of deck paint. In addition, all interested parties must have a minimum of two (2) years of marine decking work experience. A Solicitation will be available on or about 11 February 2024. An anticipated start to the contract to begin on or about June 2024.
