This project will allow for a field test with the Mobile PFAS Removal System to address the removal of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from aqueous film foam (AFFF) impacted waters. The field test will demonstrate the technology’s effectiveness in achieving the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) lifetime health advisory (LHA) of less than 70 parts per trillion (ppt.) for individual or combined perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) after treatment.
