NAVFAC EXWC recently awarded a modification to its ongoing research contract with University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC). The modification was determined to be an out-of-scope change in terms, largely due to the significant increase represented by the firm-fixed-price agreed upon for supplemental work. The corresponding Justification and Approvals (J&A) documentation has been posted for public viewing to support regulatory compliance. This is a post-award action regarding an ongoing contract rather than a new competitive opportunity.
