This repair can only be performed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The determination that the procurement for this service is a Sole Source requirement is based on the following excerpt from the Limited Source Justification form dated 10/03/2023: “The maintenance shall be performed by the only company with the necessary intrinsic knowledge of the machinery. Perkin Elmer, as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), has the proprietary data and knowledge to maintain the equipment in peak operating condition or to make the most cost effective repairs as needed for the equipment. Perkin Elmer is also the sole service provider for these instruments and has the maintenance kits for them.” Therefore, this requirement is to be solicited in accordance with Sole Source exclusive rights.
