This notice serves as Portsmouth Naval Shipyard's intent to Sole Source to Automated Precision Inc. (API) to perform Laser Tracker Calibration and Maintenance services for nine (9) Laser Tracker Systems: four (4) R80 Radian Plus systems, two (2) R80 Radian systems, and three (3) R50 Radian systems for a base year Period of Performance of 6/18/23-6/17/24 with two Option Years. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) and FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Automated Precision Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Laser Tracker Systems and the only company to meet NAVSEA METCAL requirements for calibration. APl's calibration process is proprietary and cannot be performed by ANYONE else except the OEM. Therefore, this requirement is to be solicited in accordance with Sole Source restrictive rights.
