Electrical: Motor is to be 460VAC, 3 Phase, 60 cycle, the starter is to be a pre-wired, soft start, closed transition type. The motor to be suited for operation in an outdoor industrial pier side environment in 0 degrees F temperatures without the need for additional shelter. The motor is to be air cooled. The unit shall be wired electrically to enable a single point shipyard connection and equipped with 50 ft. of properly sized cable. Mechanical: The unit is to be an air cooled High Pressure Air Compressor with controller to deliver oil free air at 5000 psi. The unit is to be electric driven, self contained, skid mounted with all necessary filters, dryers, and instruments to deliver 4500 psi, oil free air at dew point of -80 degrees F at atmosphere. The compressor shall be equipped with a moisture separator and air dryer capable of drying 18 CFH to a dew point of -80 degrees F at atmosphere. All assemblies shall be connected to enable single point connection by the shipyard. The compressor is to compress free air from the atmosphere to 5000 psig, deliver 100% oil free air at a rated discharge capacity of 30 CFH @ 3000 PSIG and 18 CFH @ 5000 PSIG, and must be capable of continuously supplying the specified quantity of air at the discharge pressure. 1.5 cubic foot, 7000 PSI ASME receiver with safety relief valve, drain valve and 1/2" NPT discharge line service valve The unit is to be equipped with an integral after cooler, to deliver air under 100 degrees F, and enclosed in a weather proof enclosure. Must have a purification system consisting of a dehydration/purification rack, priority valve, upstream and downstream pressure gauges and drain. One mechanical separator and two coalescing filters remove oil and water droplets. Six molecular sieve cartridges remove oil and water vapors. Each cartridge must have a particulate filter to prevent passage of particles downstream. The coalescing filters need a manual filter drain piped into the condensate tank for collection and disposal. Service: The vendor shall supply a point of contact and telephone number for requesting service if problems arise with equipment. The vendor shall maintain a stringent maintenance program and be responsible for equipment failure not arising out of abuse or negligence by the government. Vendor shall respond within four (4) hours of notice to the contacting officer that compressor is inoperable, return the unit to service within eight (8) hours, and if the unit cannot be returned to service, a replacement shall be delivered within twenty-four (24) hours at no extra cost to the government. Vendor shall provide filters, coolant, and lubricant for engine and compressor for the duration of the rental. The vendor shall be responsible for onsite startup and all routine maintenance, e.g. change oil, filters, etc., except for daily check of liquid levels. The vendor must supply an operating manual. Equipment shall be delivered in first class operating condition with complete operating instructions. The compressor shall be equipped with safety valves and piping to meet ASME Power Piping safety codes and the unit shall be assembled to meet OSH safety standards. The compressor shall be certified for use in the state of California.
