Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is seeking to identify sources capable of supporting a firm fixed price contract for Shear Block Disposable Container Manufacturing. The proposed contract action is for a total of fourteen (14) complete Large Sheer Block Disposable containers and eight (8) complete Small Shear Block Disposal Containers that are required to be built. Examples of potential work include, but are not limited to: WELDING LIFTING LUG LOAD TESTING SAFETY HOIST RING LOAD TEST This sources sought notice is a market research tool being utilized to identify potential and eligible firms capable of providing these services prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Quotation (RFQ). As such, all interested parties are encouraged to respond. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this noticed is solely within the discretion of the Government.
