No solicitation is available. In accordance with FAR 15.202(3), responses to this notice are NOT offers and CANNOT be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is seeking to identify sources capable of supporting a firm fixed price contract for repair and maintenance for the Scrubber and Burners COH2 System aboard a Los-Angeles Class Submarine. Previous market research shows that this is a sole source requirement and there is only one authorized vendor to perform work on the Scrubber and Burners COH2 System aboard a Los-Angeles Class Submarine. This sources sought notice is a market research tool being utilized to identify potential and eligible firms capable of providing these services prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Quote (RFQ). As such, all interested parties are encouraged to respond. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discrection of the Government.
