PRESOLICITATION NOTICE N3904020Q0442 This is a presolicitation notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 13, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only the presolicitation notice. This is a presolicitation notice for a SOLE SOURCE requirement for Perkin Elmer Health Sciences, Inc., for preventative maintenance on two (2) Optima 8300’s. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 811219. The small Business Size Standard is $20.5 Million and this solicitation is a SOLE SOURCE. Portsmouth Naval Shipyard intends to negotiate and award a contract with Perkin Elmer Health Sciences, Inc. on a sole source basis by authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) and FAR 6.302-1. (Justification & Approval attached) This requirement is for a firm fixed price contract. The schedule will be negotiated prior to award. Anticipated performance is fifty-two (52) weeks to commence upon contract award, with two (2) option years. The solicitation will be made available electronically upon its release. Paper copies, faxed copies, or email copies of the solicitation will not be provided. Interested parties are solely responsible for monitoring the posting of the solicitation and any amendments thereto. The Government will not pay for information received in response to this notice.
