Portsmouth Naval Shipyard intends to solicit a Firm Fixed Price contract for on-site technical representative during removal, installation and shipboard testing of the R134 compressors. Vendor will also receive, open, inspect and report identified critical dimension information. Vendor shall repair, reassemble, test and ship. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source is capable of fulfilling this requirement. Johnson Controls Navy Systems, (CAGE Code 66935) is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and thus owns the proprietary data – including drawings, equipment, and approved processes – required to perform this work. A solicitation will be available on or around 9/11/2020. Justification and Approval for Sole Source will be posted prior to that date.
