This contract is for the vendor to provide re-calibration of Metals Mechanical and Rubber Tensile Testing Equipment. The units to be calibrated are Instron units that only Instron possesses the required certifications and accreditation required by NAVSEA's METCAL program. The calibration equipment used by Instron connects and interfaces with their proprietary designs and software systems. The proprietary designs and software systems that these units contain make Instron the only responsible vendor.
