No solicitation is available. In accordance with FAR 15.202(3), responses to this notice are NOT offers and CANNOT be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is seeking to identify sources capable of supporting a firm fixed price indefinite quantity indefinite delivery (IDIQ) contract for Barge Maintenance. The proposed contract action is for a full range of intermediate-level trouble shooting, repair, renewal, refurbishment, modernization, maintenance and testing of U.S. Navy Living Barges and their auxiliary systems (hull, mechanical and electrical). This service has a full performance period of five years from the date of award. Examples of potential work include, but are not limited to; Planned Maintenance Cleaning and Sanitizing Test and Inspections Fire Fighting Equipment Replacement, Repair and Maintenance Laundry Equipment Service and Replacement Habitability Repairs Electrical Repairs Miscellaneous Repairs Unplanned Parts and Repairs This sources sought notice is a market research tool being utilized to identify potential and eligible firms capable of providing these services prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Quotation (RFQ). As such, all interested parties are encouraged to respond. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this noticed is solely within the discretion of the Government.
