Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, as expounded upon in the attached Justification and Approval (J&A), Portsmouth Naval Shipyard will be soliciting Timken Gears and Services, Inc., dba Philadelphia Gear, for the refurbishment of the ahead and astern thrust pads (42 total) associated with the Line Shaft Coupling (LSC) subassemblies onboard a Virginia Class Submarine. Pursuant to FAR 5.202(a)(1), the formal solicitation and specifications will not be posted to FBO.
