The Government intends to issue a solicitation to prime contractors with experience constructing and/or renovating single or multi-story administrative and communication facilities, data processing facilities, operations centers, intelligence centers or similar facilities that were 465 SM (5,000 SF) or greater at a base in Naples Italy. The project is Design-Bid-Build. Project will perform renovations to a multi-story office building. Work consists of: Major electrical upgrades (critical electrical distribution, generator(s) replacement, grounding ring installation, UPS replacement, installation of surge protection), elevator replacement, chiller replacements, HVAC upgrades, fire protection upgrades (example: isolation valves and emergency electrical disconnects) and the demo/movement/construction of restrooms. This project will be required to be phased: Phase 1 will consist of the renovation of sections of a Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) to be used as office space. This space will be used as a swing space for tenants in the multi-story office building. Additionally, Phase 1 will have the installation of a temporary modular work space and replacement of the elevators in the multi-story office building. Phase 2 will consist of electrical upgrades and mechanical upgrades. Phase 3 will consist of the decommissioning and removal of the modular installed in Phase 1, and demo/movement/ construction of restrooms. Phase 4 will consist of mechanical, electrical and fire protection upgrades. During each of the phases, tenants in the multi-story office building will need to move out at the beginning of the phase and move back in at the end of the phase. The prime contractor firm will be a United States (U.S.) Prime (Required) to manage and construct the facility with a Facility Clearance Level (FCL) and Safeguarding capability granted by the Defense Security Service (DSS) at the SECRET level. Local National labor (Restrictions apply) may be used to build and perform general construction. Only U.S. Cleared worker will be authorized to complete finishing work.
