The project intent is to replace one (1) Prime Power Generator with a Continuous Operation Power (COP) type and provide Major overhaul service to prime generators of CLDJ. The replacement of the generator set includes the dismantling of the existing generator in place, provide new diesel engine generator, weather proof seismic rated frame housing, auxiliary equipment, controls and power wiring, hardware and software programming compatible to existing control system. The major overhaul of the generator sets includes the disassembly of the engine, replacement of components per manufacturer’s recommendations, inspection and if necessary replacement of other worn components, cleaning of the internal passages of the engine and the engine block, inspection of the generator alignment and correction if required, reassembly of the engine, and final performance testing. The contractor shall make use of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) replacement components.
